Vendor Spotlight - Tony Deluca

Is a platinum, gold and silversmith. After graduating from Georgian College from the goldsmith program, Tony honed his art at the Harbourfront Craft Studios in Toronto as a jewellery resident.

Tony specializes in the use of cuttlebone casting, which is an ancient Egyptian technique that uses cuttlebone as a molding and casting medium. It transfers the unique impressions of the cuttlebone to the work, giving it a fine wood grained appearance.

Open Magazine has commissioned Tony to produce 3 pieces of fine art jewellery to coincide with each new issue of the magazine. Just like Open Magazine, each "issue" of jewellery will be colour themed. Each piece is hand-made and unique.
